Call for Abstracts
CLE4SCIENCE 2020 | Theologia Naturalis: arguments for and against the existence of God

The Centre for Logic, Epistemology, and the History of Science (CLE) at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) invites abstracts (400 to 700 words excluding bibliography) in English (preferred), Spanish or Portuguese for the following conference:

“Theologia Naturalis: arguments for and against the existence of God”, that will be held at the UNICAMP, Brazil, from the 27th to the 29th of May 2020.

Agnaldo PORTUGAL (University of Brasília)
Joshua RASMUSSEN (Azusa Pacific University)
Walter CARNIELLI (UNICAMP)

Specific focus topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Classic and contemporary arguments for the existence of God;
Classic and contemporary arguments against the existence of God;
The problem of Evil;
Formal Approaches to religious epistemology and analytic theology;
The Divine attributes;
The Epistemology of religious beliefs.

To participate, please send your abstract no later than the 20th of March 2020 to
theologianaturalis2020@gmail.com.

The proceedings of the conference will be published in a forthcoming volume of the “Coleção CLE” (for a list of our previous publications, see here.)

O Centro de Lógica, Epistemologia e História da Ciência da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (CLE-UNICAMP) convida os interessados a submeterem resumos (de 400 a 700 palavras, excluindo-se bibliografia) em inglês (preferível), espanhol ou português para a seguinte conferência:

“Theologia Naturalis: arguments for and against the existence of God” [“Theologia Naturalis: argumentos a favor e contra a existência de Deus”], que será realizada na UNICAMP, Brasil, de 27 a 29 de maio de 2020.

Um enfoque específico será dado aos seguintes tópicos de interesse, embora não se restrinjam a eles:

Argumentos clássicos e contemporâneos a favor da existência de Deus;
Argumentos clássicos e contemporâneos contra a existência de Deus;
O problema do mal;
Abordagens formais à epistemologia da religião e à teologia analítica;
Os atributos divinos;
A epistemologia das crenças religiosas.
